Vinca Petersen: Make Social Honey - A Collective Search for JOY Exhibition Takeover

As part of Vinca Petersen’s exhibition ‘Make Social Honey’ we have invited twenty students from the University of Sunderland’s Fine Art and Photography departments to produce new artwork in response to Petersen’s ‘Collective Search for JOY.

Rimaldas Viksraitis: Daily Rituals of Work and Play - The Collective Life of a Village 1975-2012

As part of the exhibition Daily Rituals of Work and Play at Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art (NGCA) we have invited thirteen students and staff from the University of Sunderland’s Fine Art and Photography departments to present their own digital artwork exploring the photographs on display in Rimaldas Vikšraitis’ exhibition. The digital images and short videos will be shown looped on a large screen located on the lower floor near the shop.

The digital images and short videos will be shown looped on a large screen located on the lower floor near the shop.

Fiona Crisp: Weighting Time
National Glass Centre / Lower Floor Entrance Screen & Upper Floor Entrance Lightboxes
Friday 9 June - Sunday 9 July 2023

As part of the exhibition Weighting Time at Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art (NGCA) we have invited nine students and staff from the University of Sunderland’s Fine Art and Photography departments to present their own artwork exploring the themes and imagery of Fiona Crisp: Weighting Time on display in NGCA Main Gallery. Digital images and short films will be shown looped on a large screen located on the lower floor near the shop and large-scale prints will be illuminated within two lightboxes located by the reception desk on the upper floor.
